Sidi Shaykh Abdallah Al-Haddad

He is the knower of Allah, Shaykh Abū Ṣalāḥ al-Dīn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Boujdini al-Idrīsī al-Ḥasanī.

Adorned with noble character, he guides others to Allah through his spiritual state and his words, devoting his life to nurturing seekers and serving the servants of Allah.

He was born in 1940 and passed away on 11 Rabīʿ al-Awwal 1448 AH.

His mother—may Allah have mercy on her—raised him with care and devotion and was affiliated with the Wazzani spiritual path. By the age of eleven, he had memorized the Qur’an. He would accompany her to gatherings of remembrance and frequently traveled with her to visit the Maqam of Mawlay Abd al-Salam ibn Mashish.

He began his formal studies in the religious sciences at a young age under the guidance of his teacher, the jurist and noble scholar Sidi al-Mukhtar ibn Muhammad al-Wazzani al-Shadhili al-Hasani. He also studied with a number of virtuous scholars and later enrolled at the University of al-Qarawiyyin.

He entered the field of education, becoming a teacher at the primary level, and later teaching at both the middle and secondary levels. He obtained a diploma from the Educational Center and a formal license from the Faculty of Sharia in Fez, which qualified him to serve in roles of educational guidance and supervision.

In 1974, he traveled to Tlemcen in Algeria, where he met his Shaykh in the city of Oran: the noble and esteemed Sidi Shaykh Ali al-Budaylami—may Allah be pleased with him. Sidi Shaykh Ali was a spiritual inheritor of Sidi Shaykh Ahmad ibn Mustafa al-Alawi al-Mustaghanimi, having taken the path directly from him.

May Allah bless his life, his family, accept his efforts, and grant his students etiquette and respect towards their teachers.
